Angelo State University In my professional career, I have been a mathematics teacher and coach in the Blackwell and Abilene School Districts. I came to Wylie High School in 1996 as an assistant principal. I became the Principal at Wylie Junior High in 1999. As Principal, I believe one of my most important functions is creating a positive learning climate. I think this is important for teachers and students. I try to help create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for the teachers so they can, in turn bring a similar atmosphere for the students. |

- Abilene Christian University In my career I've taught and coached at Slaton ISD for two years, Frenship ISD three years, and Abilene Christian Schools three years, Madison Middle School 15 years. I have been the assistant principal at WJH since 2000. I am married to Lenda and we have three children; L'nae, Mendy , and Ryder. In my spare time I like to do wood working... building cabinets or outdoor furniture. I also like to shoot with my bow and go bow hunting when time allows. I also enjoy snow skiing. |

My educational accomplishments have been obtained from Old Dominion
University in Norfolk, Virginia, Angelo State University in San Angelo,
Texas, and Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. My experiences include teaching in
San Angelo, Waco, and College Station. I was involved in educational
diagnostics in Stamford with Tri-County Educational Co-op and I have been in
counseling at Wylie since 1985. I have two sons, Zach and Bailey. My hobbies
include re-finishing antique furniture, making Tiffany lamps, and
hanging out with my two guys. My passion is to travel with my sons
to as many distant lands as possible. We love Wylie and are so very grateful to be a
part of the Wylie family. |

Secretary, Kathy Bunkley, ext. #1800 I grew up in East Texas (Diboll) and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in public relations and creative writing. . Before marrying and moving to Abilene I was Sports Information Director at SFASU, a corporate fitness director and an employee benefits specialist for Temple-Eastex Inc. for nine years. I was a stay-at-home mom, teaching early pre-K part-time, before coming to Wylie Junior High as secretary. We live 24 miles from Wylie, but I will drive any distance so that my girls can be Wylie Bulldogs! My husband, Terry, is one of the owners of Bunkley Electric Co., Inc., and I have a daughter, Mary Lynn and a daughter Candace. We attend Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Our hobbies include camping, swimming, basketball and traveling. I love everything about the Wylie schools and am very thankful that we are Wylie Bulldogs! |
